How It Works

Viagra 120 mg contains the ingredient Sildenafil Citrate, which is a PDE5 inhibitor. The medication blocks the enzyme that breaks down cGMP, allowing blood vessels in the penis to relax and increase blood flow. This helps maintain a firmer and longer-lasting erection during sexual arousal.

During sexual stimulation, the blood vessel lining in the penis releases nitric oxide (NO), which triggers the production of cGMP in the smooth muscle cells of the penis. cGMP prompts the smooth muscle cells to relax. This action widens the penis’ blood vessels. The relaxation of smooth muscle cells allows for improved blood flow into the spongy tissue of the penis. This tissue is called the corpus cavernosum. The increased blood flow fills the spongy tissue, leading to an erection.

These pills do not directly induce an erection. Instead, it enhances the natural erectile response by amplifying penile blood flow upon sexual stimulation.

It is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It helps improve blood flow to the penis, allowing men to achieve and maintain an erection during sexual activity.The medication is taken when sexual stimulation is expected, as it works only in response to sexual arousal.

Dosage

Viagra 120 mg is intended to be taken orally with water. You should not consume more than one tablet in 24 hours. This pill is intended to be taken with or without food, and approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour before any sexual activity. The effects of this medicine can last for around 4 to 6 hours. Taking the medication after a high-fat meal can delay its effectiveness.

Missed Dose

7. Efavirenz
8. Beta-blockers such as atenolol, labetalol, metoprolol, and nadolol
9. HIV Protease inhibitors such as atazanavir, indinavir, darunavir, fosamprenavir, lopinavir, saquinavir, and ritonavir
10. Medications for seizures such as carbamazepine and phenytoin
11. Other medicine for Erectile Dysfunction
12. Medications for blood pressure

Viagra contain sildenafil, the same active ingredient found in REVATIO. REVATIO is a medication prescribed for treating PAH. Therefore, do not use these tablets with

1. REVATIO
2. other PAH treatments containing sildenafil
3. other PDE5 inhibitors like Vardenafil or Tadalafil.
