How It Works

Cialis 20 mg is considered as a PDE 5 inhibitor. It contains the ingredient Tadalafil that works by increasing the blood flow to certain areas of the body. An enzyme known as PDE 5 causes a constriction in the arteries and the blood vessels of the body. It does not let cGMP to be produced properly. cGMP is a molecule that controls the dilation and contraction of blood vessels. This leads to improper flow of blood and an erection does not occur. Cialis 20 mg blocks the action of PDE 5 and stops it from destroying cGMP. This enables the production of cGMP so that the blood can flow easily to the penis. This creates pressure in the penis that leads to an erection. 

Uses

Cialis 20 mg is prescribed for the treatment of the following disorders:

1. Erectile Dysfunction (ED) – also known as impotence, it makes a man unable to achieve or sustain an erection firm enough for sexual intercourse.
2. Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) – high blood pressure of arteries present in the lungs and right side of the heart.
3. Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) – age-associated prostate gland enlargement that causes painful and frequent urination.

Dosage

Cialis 20 mg is recommended to be taken orally once in 24 hours. The recommended dose is one tablet taken approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour before sexual intercourse. This pill can be taken with or without food. 

Missed Dosage: Since this pill is taken as and when needed, the chances of missing a dose are very low. However, for people suffering from PAH, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. Do not overdose to make up for the missed dose.

Overdose: An overdose can lead to serious side effects. If you experience any side effects for long, contact your doctor immediately.
