How Cialis 60 mg Works

Cialis 60 mg belong to a class of drugs known as PDE5 inhibitors. It contains Tadalafil which works by relaxing the smooth muscles present in the walls of the blood vessels. It enhances blood circulation throughout the body, including the penis. It blocks the action of enzyme PDE 5 and does not let it destroy cGMP. The production of cGMP is necessary for the blood to flow properly. cGMP controls the dilation and contraction of blood vessels. By inhibiting the action of PDE5, more and more blood flows into the penis. This creates pressure in the penis that leads to an erection.

It is used for the treatment of the following problems:

1. Erectile Dysfunction (ED) – a condition that makes it difficult for a man to achieve or sustain an erection.
2. Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) – high blood pressure of arteries present in the lungs and right side of the heart.
3. Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) – age-related prostate gland enlargement that causes painful, difficult, and frequent urination.

Dosage

Cialis 60 mg is recommended to be taken orally once in 24 hours. It should be taken approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour before sexual intercourse. 

Missed Dosage: This pill is taken as and when required. Therefore, it is less likely you’ll miss a dose. However, if you take it for the treatment of Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH), you should take your missed dose as soon as possible. If it’s time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take your scheduled dose. Talk to your doctor about what should be done when a dose is missed.

Overdose: An overdose can deteriorate your health and lead to serious side effects. If problems persist for long, contact your doctor immediately.
