How does Cenforce 50 mg work
Cenforce 50mg contains the active ingredient Sildenafil Citrate, a medicine from the PDE5 inhibitor group. The medication blocks the enzyme that breaks down cGMP, allowing blood vessels in the penis to relax and increase blood flow. This helps maintain a firmer and longer-lasting erection during sexual arousal.
During sexual stimulation, the blood vessel lining in the penis releases nitric oxide (NO), which triggers the production of cGMP in the smooth muscle cells of the penis. cGMP prompts the smooth muscle cells to relax. This action widens the penis’ blood vessels. The relaxation of smooth muscle cells allows for improved blood flow into the spongy tissue of the penis. This tissue is called the corpus cavernosum. The increased blood flow fills the spongy tissue, leading to an erection.
These pills do not directly induce an erection. Instead, it enhances the natural erectile response by amplifying penile blood flow upon sexual stimulation.
Uses of Cenforce 50 mg
It is a prescription medicine used to treat mild/ occasional impotence or ED in men. It helps in relaxing the penile muscles thereby drawing more blood into the penis and causing an erection. Its effects last for about 4 to 6 hours (depending on the individual’s metabolism and tolerance level).
Recommended Dosage
The usual recommended dose for men facing erection problems is one Cenforce 50 mg tablet taken 30-60 minutes before having sex. People facing occasional ED issues can take the medicine only when required. Those with a more consistent problem can consult a doctor and get a prescribed dosage. For ease of remembering, take it at the same time each day. If you have already missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember, but if the next regular dose is soon to be taken, leave the missed dose. You should not take two doses in close succession as it may lead to an overdose.
