How does it Work?

Zenegra 100mg contains the active ingredient sildenafil. It belongs to a group of medicines, PDE5 inhibitors. During sexual arousal, a molecule called nitric oxide (NO) is released within the penis. This increases levels of another molecule called the cGMP. cGMP causes the smooth muscles inside the penis to relax. As a result, the blood vessels open wider, allowing blood flow. It causes the corpus cavernosum (the spongy tissue in the penis) to swell. Thus, the penis becomes larger and stiff enough for sexual intercourse.

However, an enzyme called PDE5 breaks down cGMP molecules, ending the erection. PDE5 inhibitors such as sildenafil stop PDE5 from working too quickly and prevent the cGMP breakdown. Hence, the action of nitric oxide is enhanced, promoting blood flow. This helps prolong the erection, making it firm enough for intercourse.

Note that Zenegra 100mg itself directly does not cause an erection. It helps the body respond better to sexual arousal. Sildenafil has no effect where sexual stimulation is absent.

Uses

It is primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It helps improve blood flow to the penis, allowing men to achieve and maintain an erection during sexual activity. Zenegra is taken when sexual stimulation is expected, as it works only in response to sexual arousal.

Recommended Dose

For erectile dysfunction, take one Zenegra 100mg about 30 mins to 60 mins before sex. Have it orally with a glass of water. Do not take more than the recommended dose in 24 hours. A lower dose of sildenafil may be prescribed for first-time users to minimize the risk of unpleasant effects.

Missed Dose

For erectile dysfunction, Zenegra 100mg is taken as needed before sex. There is little chance of missing out on a dose in that case. If you forget to take a prescribed dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is about time for your next scheduled dose, just leave out the missed dose. Then, keep taking the next doses as usual.

Overdose

Zenegra 100mg tablets need to be taken at the right dosage. Only then can it produce the desired results. Taking too much ED medication can lead to serious side effects. Talk to your doctor if there is an overdose. Or if you’re worried about the side effects listed below.

Place the medicines in a locked cabinet where children and pets cannot reach.
