How Aurogra 100mg tablet works

Aurogra 100 mg contains the active ingredient sildenafil citrate. It is a PDE-5 inhibitor of Phosphodiesterase Type 5 inhibitors. It works by relaxing blood vessels. This helps increase blood circulation and makes the penis hard. 

Sometimes the blood doesn’t flow properly to the penis, leading to erection problems. Aurogra blocks the action of PDE 5. It enhances nitric oxide (NO)-mediated vasodilation by inhibiting cGMP breakdown. cGMP is responsible for the contraction and dilation of blood vessels. By enabling the production of cGMP, blood flows to the penis more easily. With increased blood flow to the penis, the person gets a strong and hard erection. However, this drug will not work without the help of sexual stimulation. 

Other than impotence treatment, it may help with certain other conditions such as high blood pressure.

Dosage

The recommended dose of Aurogra 100 mg is one tablet per day. It is the maximum dose of Aurogra. For maximum effect, take one pill on an empty stomach 30 minutes to 1 hour before sex. The man must be sexually stimulated for the medication to work. 

The effects of this medicine will show up within the first hour of its consumption. However, this may vary from person to person. The duration depends on factors such as age, metabolism, medical conditions, etc.

Missed Dose

This medicine is taken as and when needed before sex. So you are less likely to miss a dose. If taking this medicine to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension, take the missed dose when you remember. 

However, if it’s time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take your next scheduled dose. Do not take double doses to make up for the missed dose. Do not consume more than one tablet in 24 hours.

Overdose

An overdose of the drug can lead to serious side effects. If there’s an overdose, report it to your doctor straight away.

It is unsafe to drink alcohol with Aurogra 100mg (sildenafil) Tablets.

Pregnancy : POSSIBLY UNSAFE
This medicine is not approved for use in women. It’s for male sexual health problems (impotence or ED).

Breastfeeding : POSSIBLY UNSAFE
This medicine is not meant for women’s use. Information regarding the use of Aurogra during pregnancy or breastfeeding is not available. Consult your doctor for further information.

Driving : UNSAFE
This drug can make you dizzy or affect your vision. Do not drive or use hazardous machinery until you are fully aware of its effects.

Kidney : POSSIBLY SAFE
Sildenafil is not known to impair kidney health. Use caution if you have severe kidney disease. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

Liver:  CAUTION
Aurogra 100mg will be processed by your liver, so use caution if you have an existing liver problem. Consult your doctor for further advice. Your doctor will probably adjust the dosage for you. 

Other Precautions

Aurogra 100 mg pills may not be suitable in some situations. Before you take this medicine, let your doctor know:

1. If you are allergic to sildenafil or any other medications.
2. If you have a history of stroke, congestive heart failure, etc.
3. If you suffer from blood cell problems such as sickle cell anemia, leukemia, etc.
4. If you suffer from a kidney or liver disease.
5. If you have a physical deformity of the penis or Peyronie’s.
6. If you have uncontrolled blood pressure.
7. If you suffer from conditions such as diabetes, high blood cholesterol, etc.
8. If you have an eye-related condition such as retinitis pigmentosa.
9. If you take nitrates for chest pain.
10. If you suffer from epilepsy or seizures.
11. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
12. If you suffer from ischemic heart disease.
13. If you are an alcoholic or have a history of substance abuse.

Side Effects

Aurogra may cause mild to moderate side effects, lasting only a few hours. Most of these side effects are temporary and go away after some time. The most common side effects include:

• Headaches
• Nausea
• Dizziness
• Flushing
• Diarrhea
• Nosebleed
• Indigestion

Rare side effects include:

• Palpitations
• Chest pain
• Trouble breathing
• Allergic reactions
• Swelling
• Heart attack
• Priapism (a painful and prolonged erection of more than 4 hours)
• NAION (sudden loss of vision in one or both eyes)

Drug Interactions

If you take any OTC drugs, prescription medications, vitamins, and herbal supplements, tell your doctor about them. Certain medications can interact with Aurogra 100 mg. This may alter how the drug is supposed to work. Possible drug interactions can include: 

• Alpha-blockers such as alfuzosin and doxazosin
• Nitrate medications
• Amlodipine
• Oral antifungals such as ketoconazole
• HIV Protease inhibitors such as ritonavir
• Medicines for seizures, such as carbamazepine
• Anticoagulants such as warfarin
• Beta-blockers such as atenolol
• Efavirenz
• Cimetidine
• Erythromycin
• Nitroglycerin
• Other medicines for ED

Interaction with alcohol

Alcohol is known to increase the risk of side effects. You may feel dizzy, and your blood pressure may drop suddenly. Avoid consuming alcohol along with this medication.

Interaction with grapefruit juice

Do not eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice along with Aurogra 100mg.

Store Aurogra 100 tablets in their original packaging.

• Keep the pills away from direct heat, moisture, and sunlight.
• Keep these pills out of reach of children and pets.
• Store these pills at room temperature and in a cool and dry place.
• Do not consume the pills past their expiration date.
