How Aurogra 100mg tablet works

Aurogra 100 mg contains the active ingredient sildenafil citrate. It is a PDE-5 inhibitor of Phosphodiesterase Type 5 inhibitors. It works by relaxing blood vessels. This helps maintain a firmer and longer-lasting erection during sexual arousal.

During sexual stimulation, the blood vessel lining in the penis releases nitric oxide (NO), which triggers the production of cGMP in the smooth muscle cells of the penis. cGMP prompts the smooth muscle cells to relax. This action widens the penis’ blood vessels. The relaxation of smooth muscle cells allows for improved blood flow into the spongy tissue of the penis. This tissue is called the corpus cavernosum. The increased blood flow fills the spongy tissue, leading to an erection.

These pills do not directly induce an erection. Instead, it enhances the natural erectile response by amplifying penile blood flow upon sexual stimulation.

Aurogra 100 Uses

It is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It helps improve blood flow to the penis, allowing men to achieve and maintain an erection during sexual activity.

Dosage

For maximum effect, take one pill on an empty stomach 30 minutes to 1 hour before sex. This pill is recommended to be taken once in 24 hours. The effects of this medicine will show up within the first hour of its consumption. However, this may vary from person to person. The duration depends on factors such as age, metabolism, medical conditions, etc.

Missed Dose

This medicine is taken as and when needed before sex. So, you are less likely to miss a dose. Do not consume more than one tablet in 24 hours.

Overdose

An overdose of the drug can lead to serious side effects. If there’s an overdose, report it to your doctor straight away.

Alcohol : UNSAFE
It is unsafe to drink alcohol with Aurogra 100mg (sildenafil) Tablets.

Pregnancy : POSSIBLY UNSAFE
This medicine is not approved for use in women. It’s for male sexual health problems (impotence or ED).

Breastfeeding : POSSIBLY UNSAFE
This medicine is not meant for women’s use. Information regarding the use of Aurogra during pregnancy or breastfeeding is not available. Consult your doctor for further information.

Driving : UNSAFE
This drug can make you dizzy or affect your vision. Do not drive or use hazardous machinery until you are fully aware of its effects.

Kidney : POSSIBLY SAFE
Sildenafil is not known to impair kidney health. Use caution if you have severe kidney disease. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

Liver:  CAUTION
Aurogra 100mg will be processed by your liver, so use caution if you have an existing liver problem. Consult your doctor for further advice. Your doctor will probably adjust the dosage for you. 

Other Precautions

Aurogra 100 mg pills may not be suitable in some situations. Before you take this medicine, let your doctor know if you have or had:

1. History of stomach ulcers.
   
2. History of liver problems.
   
3. History of blood cell issues such as sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma, or leukemia
   
4. Low blood pressure
   
5. Uncontrolled high blood pressure
   
6. Penis with an unusual shape or Peyronie’s.
   
7. A prolonged erection lasting more than 4 hours.
   
8. History of heart surgery in the past 6 months.
   
9. Pulmonary hypertension.
   
10. A history of retinitis pigmentosa
    
11. Bleeding problems.
    
12. Kidney problems
    
13. Kidney dialysis.
    
14. Heart attack
    
15. Irregular heartbeat
    
16. Aortic valve narrowing
    
17. Heart failure
    
18. Angina (chest pain)
    
19. Allergy from Sildenafil Citrate or any other medications.
    
20. A history of stroke, congestive heart failure, etc.
    
21. Suffer from conditions such as diabetes, high blood cholesterol, high blood pressure, etc.
    
22. Take nitrates for chest pain.
    
23. Suffer from epilepsy or seizures.
    
24. Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
    
25. Suffer from ischemic heart disease (also known as coronary artery disease).
    
26. Are an alcoholic or have a history of substance abuse.

Sildenafil should only be taken under the supervision of a doctor. It should not be used by women or children.

Side Effects

Aurogra may cause mild to moderate side effects, lasting only a few hours. Most of these side effects are temporary and go away after some time. The most common side effects include:

• Headaches
• Nausea
• Dizziness
• Flushing
• Diarrhea
• Nosebleed
• Indigestion

Rare side effects include:

• Palpitations
• Chest pain
• Trouble breathing
• Allergic reactions
• Swelling
• Heart attack
• Priapism (a painful and prolonged erection of more than 4 hours)
• NAION (sudden loss of vision in one or both eyes)

Drug Interactions

If you take any OTC drugs, prescription medications, vitamins, and herbal supplements, tell your doctor about them. Certain medications can interact with Aurogra 100 mg. This may alter how the drug is supposed to work. Possible drug interactions can include: 

• Alpha-blockers such as alfuzosin and doxazosin
• Nitrate medications
• Amlodipine
• Oral antifungals such as ketoconazole
• HIV Protease inhibitors such as ritonavir
• Medicines for seizures, such as carbamazepine
• Anticoagulants such as warfarin
• Beta-blockers such as atenolol
• Efavirenz
• Cimetidine
• Erythromycin
• Nitroglycerin
• Other medicines for ED

Aurogra contains sildenafil, the same active ingredient found in REVATIO. REVATIO is a medication prescribed for treating PAH. Therefore, do not use these tablets with

• REVATIO
• other PAH treatments containing sildenafil
• other PDE5 inhibitors like Vardenafil or Tadalafil.

Interaction with alcohol

Alcohol is known to increase the risk of side effects. You may feel dizzy, and your blood pressure may drop suddenly. Avoid consuming alcohol along with this medication.

Interaction with grapefruit juice

Do not eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice along with Aurogra 100mg. It raises the levels of this drug in the body and delays the time it takes for the medication to work. Therefore, it should not be consumed while taking this medication.

Store Aurogra 100 tablets in their original packaging.

• Keep the pills away from direct heat, moisture, and sunlight.
• Keep these pills out of reach of children and pets.
• Store these pills at room temperature and in a cool and dry place.
• Do not consume the pills past their expiration date.
