How Does it Work

Vidalista 20 mg (Tadalafil Tablet) is used for erectile dysfunction treatment. It falls under the class of medicine known as PDE5 inhibitors. By blocking the action of the PDE5 enzyme, it helps men achieve and maintain a hard erection. 

• PDE5 breaks down cGMP in our body, ending an erection. When PDE5 works too quickly, it prevents the man from having a satisfactory sexual intercourse. 
• Tadalafil prevents PDE5 from breaking down cGMP. By increasing nitric-oxide-induced cGMP production, it improves blood flow to the penis. With improved circulation, an erection can occur easily. 
• Tadalafil works in combination with sexual stimulation. Erection can occur only during sexual arousal/excitement. This drug supports the process and prevents men from losing the erection too quickly.

• Erectile Dysfunction (ED) or Impotence  

When a man is unable to get or maintain an erection firm enough for sexual intercourse.

Tadalafil benefits are not limited to relieving erection problems. It also helps with the following conditions:

• Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) 

High blood pressure of arteries present in the lungs and right side of the heart.

• Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH)

Vidalista Dosage

The recommended dose of Vidalista 20mg for erectile dysfunction is one tablet per day. Do not consume a pill more than once in 24 hours. You can take the tablet with or without food. Take it 30 minutes to 1 hour before sex. 

The dosage depends on your condition and several other factors e.g., your overall health and other medications you might be taking. If you have kidney or liver problems, your doctor might decrease the starting dose to 10mg. The starting dose for pulmonary hypertension is 20mg.

Missed Dose

Vidalista 20 mg is taken as and when needed. So, it is less likely to miss a dose. However, if you have been prescribed this drug for the treatment of BPH, take the missed dose as soon as possible. If it’s time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the regular one.

Overdose

Do not take Vidalista more than your prescribed dose or for a longer duration. If you suspect an overdose, e.g., if you have taken more than one tablet a day by accident, contact your doctor. 

Safety Advice

Alcohol : UNSAFE
It is unsafe to drink alcohol with Vidalista Tadalafil 20mg Tablet.

Pregnancy : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Your doctor may prescribe tadalafil if you have pulmonary hypertension. Inform your doctor as soon as possible if you are pregnant or trying to get pregnant while under this treatment. However, Cialis is not meant for women’s sexual health.

Breastfeeding : SEEK YOUR DOCTOR’S ADVICE
No confirmed data is available on the use of tadalafil on lactating mothers. Consult your doctor.

Driving : UNSAFE
This medication can make you dizzy or affect your vision. Do not drive or use hazardous machinery until you have fully understood its effects.

Kidney : CAUTION
Vidalista 20 mg should not be used in patients with severe kidney problems. If you have mild to moderate kidney problems, consult your healthcare provider.

Liver:  CAUTION
Vidalista will be processed by your liver, so use caution if you have an existing liver problem. Consult your doctor before using this medication.

• If you are allergic to the active ingredient tadalafil or have any other known allergies.
• If you are on amyl nitrate or nitrate medicine, it can cause a severe drop in blood pressure.
• If you suffer from hypotension or high blood pressure.
• If you have a known history of liver disorders
• If you have low blood pressure
• If you had a stroke or heart disease 
• If you have a kidney disease
• If you have had vision problems because of decreased blood flow to eye tissue.
• If you had a stroke or heart attack recently.
• If you have any physical deformation of the penis.
• If you suffer from sickle cell anemia.
• If you have cancer of blood cells (leukemia or multiple myeloma).
• In the case of heart disease, sexual activity can pose a risk to the patient if it puts a strain on the heart.

Side Effects

As with any other medication, there are certain side effects that can occur while taking Vidalista 20 mg. These include:

• Headaches
• Nausea
• Flushing
• Stuffy nose
• Dizziness
• Heartburn

The common tadalafil side effects are usually mild and will go away as your body adjusts to it. In rare events, more serious side effects can occur, such as:

• Decrease/loss of vision
• Hearing loss
• Difficulty breathing
• Priapism (a prolonged and painful erection lasting for more than 4 hours)
• Peeling and blistering of the skin

If you see any side effect that bothers you, contact your doctor straight away. 

Interactions With Other Drugs

Some substances/drugs shouldn’t be taken together, or they can worsen your condition. Such interactions can lead to harmful effects on your overall health. 

• Vidalista 20mg can interact with the following medications:
• Nitrates such as – nitroglycerin, amyl nitrite, butyl nitrite, isosorbide mononitrate.
• Alpha blockers such as tamsulosin, prazosin, alfuzosin, terazosin, Doxazosin.
• Drugs administered for HIV treatment – ritonavir, lopinavir
• Antifungal medicine – itraconazole or ketoconazole
• Antibiotics – rifampin, erythromycin, clarithromycin, telithromycin.
• Other ED medications – sildenafil and vardenafil, etc.
• Other PAH medications, such as Riociguat.
• Medicines used for stomach acid – magnesium or aluminum hydroxide.
• Epilepsy treatment drugs – phenytoin, phenobarbital, carbamazepine.

To protect yourself from possible drug interactions, discuss all your medications and supplements with your doctor. 

Interaction with Alcohol

Alcohol can increase the chances of lowering your blood pressure. It can raise your risk of severe side effects like extreme dizziness or fainting. Do not consume alcohol alongside ED medication.

Interaction with Grapefruit

Do not drink grapefruit juice or have grapefruit with this medication. Grapefruit can slow down the metabolism of Vidalista, leaving more of the drug in the body’s circulation. 

Storage Instructions

• Store Vidalista 20 in its original packaging at room temperature.
• Keep this drug away from direct heat, moisture, and light.
• Keep the tablets away from the reach of children and pets.
• Do not consume tadalafil tablets past their expiration date.
• Dispose of them safely as per your local waste collection guidelines.
