How does it Work?

Anaridex 1mg tablet is commonly used for its effects in managing hormone-sensitive conditions, often associated with breast cancer treatment. It works primarily by inhibiting an enzyme called aromatase. Aromatase is responsible for converting androgens (hormones produced by the adrenal glands) into estrogen.

In hormone-sensitive cancers, estrogen can promote tumor growth. By blocking aromatase, Anaridex lowers estrogen levels in the body. This action helps slow or stop the growth of hormone-receptor-positive cancer cells. It’s particularly effective in postmenopausal individuals, as they primarily produce estrogen through aromatase activity rather than through ovarian function.

Uses

  • Treats breast cancer symptoms, such as:
    • Breast lumps
    • Abnormal nipple discharge
    • Changes in breast shape or texture
  • Reduces estrogen levels to slow the growth of hormone-sensitive cancer cells
  • Alters hormone production in the body to help limit cancer spread
  • May interact with other hormones or have a direct effect on stopping cancer growth
