How does it Work?

Avana 100mg contains the active ingredient avanafil. It works by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, allowing for an erection to occur. During sexual stimulation, the lining of the blood vessels in the penis releases nitric oxide (NO). NO stimulates the production of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) in the smooth muscle cells of the penis. cGMP causes the smooth muscle cells to relax, which widens the blood vessels in the penis. The increased blood flow to the penis fills the spongy tissue (corpus cavernosum) with blood, causing an erection.

Avana 100 does not directly cause an erection. It enhances the natural erectile response by increasing penile blood flow when sexually stimulated.

Erectile dysfunction (ED): A condition characterized by the inability to achieve and maintain an erection.

Recommended Dose

The recommended starting dose of Avana 100mg is one tablet. Take it approximately 15-30 minutes before sexual activity with a glass of water. It can be taken with or without food. However, taking it with a heavy, high-fat meal may delay the onset of action. The effects usually last up to 6 hours, during which time you may experience improved erectile function in response to sexual stimulation.

Missed Dose

Avana 100mg is typically taken only when needed. If you miss a dose, you can take the missed dose prior to sexual activity. Do not take more than one dose per day.

Overdose

Taking more than the recommended dose can increase the risk of side effects and complications. In case of an overdose, seek medical attention immediately.
